Just Voted in Erie Pa.

Republicans are pushing hard to make inroads in this traditionally very blue city.

Erie Pa. has had a democratic mayor since the 1940's.

General Electric is sending most of the General Electric jobs (primary industry in Erie) to "right to work for less" Texas.

Large outside contributions were made to repub candidates for mayor and county executive.

They are testing the waters here, and also poking a finger in Erie's eye, trying to make us feel as though democrats are to blame for job loss.

Erie voters know better.

Kathy Dahlkemper, former U.S. representative who was instrumental in getting Obamacare passed (she received death threats because of this) is our present county executive, and I was proud to get out there and cast my vote for her, as well as all other democrats on the ballot.

National elections are important, but local elections have the most immediate impact on our lives, imo.

Thanks to all who are going out to vote today!
