A week ago...Washington state does elections better than anywhere I live: get ballot in mail, fill it out and at my convenience, take it to a drop off point (a white box like the Post Office blue mailbox) and Im done.
GOTV, everywhere, every election.

(8,700 posts)There is a very specific state senate seat (45th district Democrat is Manka Dhingra) we are trying to flip because if we do we regain control of the state senate. Doing so will give Dems control of the house, senate and governor.
She won her primary in August with a solid lead over the Heritage Foundation republican.
Millions have been poured in this race so winning here would really hurt republicans morale and end being a waste of a lot of resources.

(63,912 posts)down to city hall in New Haven and voted there by absentee ballot. I was given a ballot and an envelope which I turned in after marking my ballot and sealing it in the envelope which was then placed into another large envelope and sealed.
It felt good to have voted in an orderly process.
