If we're not going to stop shooting massacres, we've got to stop giving them 24/7 press.
This is beyond not mentioning the name of the shooter to prevent future shooters, but we've got to stop giving each shooting a solid week of coverage.
Shootings happen everyday and mass shootings every week or two.
If we're not going to do anything about the weapons or the loopholes or the enforcement of laws on the books, I don't want to hear about it. Just run a crawl on the bottom of the screen. ....ten more.... .....thirty more...... ....four hundred.....
Let's cover news that might lead to change. Let's cover the coup that Mueller is trying to prevent. But we've no willingness to seriously address the shootings, so let's just get it off the news.
