Alexandria, VA (heavy, heavy Blue) has exceeded turnout for 2013

Alexandria, which generally goes about 70% Blue, had more voters by 4 pm (42K) than the total number that showed up for 2013 gubernatorial election (40K). Polls close at 7 pm.

Because if there's one thing Russians, I mean Republicans understand, it's whether or not they'll be re-elected. Keep pushing for more and more democrats to get to the polls tonight. One hour to go there!

They are the heavy blue areas, and the more urban areas. So, don't be worried by early numbers -- those are the more rural, red areas.

Friends of mine kn NOVA are a tad worried, because of Brazile and OR bombs. But, fingers crossed.

say he'd seen the early numbers and they were way up, bigger than when he ran in 2013. He's confident that Dems are going to sweep the slots. He looked happy, too.

Go Blue!

All I can say is we thought the same thing in Nov. 2016. And you know how that disaster turned out. I'm not saying not to be positive, but don't count the chickens.

Anymore I really wonder. It's damned sad when so many states have antiquated, easily hacked voting machines and we refuse to do anything about it. Anyway, this is good news but I'll hold off my celebration until the final results are in.

Depending of what county comes in, it see-saws back and forth between Gillespie and Northam leading, but nothing from Fairfax County is part of this yet, which is a good sign. If it were even with Fairfax all in, it would be time to get worried, because rural areas could tip it to Gillespie. If turnout was good in Fairfax County, we should be in good shape. If not--worry.

They are currently neck and neck with only 2or 3% of Fairfax County reported. This is good for us.

https://www.arlnow.com/2017/11/07/heavy-turnout-short-lines-reported-at-arlington-polling-stations/

As of noon, Arlington election officials were reporting approximately 31 percent turnout at the polls. Another 8 percent of registered voters had cast absentee ballots, bumping up the total, midway through election day, to nearly 40 percent.
That compares to a final turnout of 49 percent in 2013, when Democrat Terry McAuliffe defeated Republican Ken Cuccinelli. In 2005, the race between Tim Kaine and Jerry Kilgore resulted in 50.5 percent turnout in Arlington.

Register everyone you know. I'm getting my sons' friends all registered. They are in their 20s. Next November, 2018, I will drive them, drag them, walk them, crawl with them, fly them in a hot air balloon, to get them to the polls.
I am also going to some lower turnout areas, lower income, should be Dems, to get registered, and get out to polls next year.
Please, let's all get out there in the next 12 months, and do this!!!
