I'm calling it momentous in my own words because I think a loss for the GOP in the Virginia's governor race, pretty much is the final nail in Trump's coffin, and will open the door wide open for Mueller to do his thing without fear of political repercussions (not that he isn't anyway) and for the GOP rats to flee the sinking ship. Also, even NBC News in First Read said these are the most important off-year elections in 25 years today. Also momentous since a bad night for Trump this evening may send his approval into the 20s which we are all hoping for here!
Key points:
Terry has a 53% approval rating! Just 43% approve of Trump! Democrats have a 8 point advantage in partisan breakdown! Democrats have 50% approval in Virginia! Saw a twitter post that Northam is leading Gillepsie by 6 points in Virginia exit polls, 53-47.

In exit polls, Virginia voters by a 60-36 margin want to keep the confederate statues. As Faulkner said, the past isn't dead. It's not even past.

@svkenney @TheRickCanton Trump approval at 43 in Virginia early exit polls, that help Ed a lot. But at 32% in NJ, can't blame Trump for that when, Christie is at 19%
Lib Stahl added,
Steve Kornacki @SteveKornacki
Trying this again... In early exit polls, Trump's approval is 43% in VA and 32% in NJ. McAuliffe's approval in VA is 53%. Christie's in NJ is 19%.

(1,835 posts)We've got this and tonight is the beginning of the end of Trumpism! Tonight is the night where America says no thanks to Trump's neo-Nazi party.
Should also mention that a NJ governor's race landslide looks all but assured for us by the exit polls.

(17,444 posts)Perhaps it is there, but I can't make it out. Looks like the numbers are from approval polls. McAuliffe is not running.
On Edit: I ran the search, followed some links in the tweets, and found it is not polling on who they voted for, but opinions about issues, like Confederate statues, Trump and so forth. It is exit polling, but not directly about the Gubernatorial vote.
