As a caveat, my wife and I were in the car today listening to a call-in program, and there was some elderly, obviously educated guy going on about how happy he was that Trump got in, saying it was about time someone stuck it to the CIA, that Hillary was just "establishment," blah blah, blah. My wife said, OK, now I can be ashamed of a German for once. This jerk might as well have been from the Berlin campaign office of Jill Stein, except that, unlike Jill Stein, he really seemed to believe the crap he was spouting.

On the other hand, the rest of Europe was saying, so, you haven't all gone crazy after all. That is a relief.
