In my home town, we really knew what winter is. Now I live far to the south in Chicago where winters are warmer and milder.
I've turned down Thanksgiving this year - good thing too - upstate New York is already way too cold for me.
Last time I did a New York Thanksgiving snow greeted e at the airport.

Or visited the ice hotel? An excellent experience if you do not mind 2 meters of snow and ice and a wind colder than Trump's heart.

I love watching the ice hotels on my computer from Jamaica and I freeze just watching them
