It is becoming increasingly clear. WOMAN POWER **MUST** be ascendant.

Maybe unrelated to gender, but probably not, persistent women were ascendant in Tuesday's elections. Look at Virginia. If you want to understand persistence, look at their individual stories.

Women have been subject to political disrespect on a regular basis. Look at HRC and Frederica Wilson as recent examples. Look at Elizabeth Warren and how she persisted.

Perhaps worst of all, women have - forever - been made to fear for their personal safety and well being. Witness, of late, Roy Moore. Harvey Weinstein. Louis Fucking C.K. In the face of this, in SPITE of this, they persist.

Yes, women persist. For generations - eons - they have stoically persisted in supporting their caveman husbands, raised their kids, washed his poopy underwear, put meals on the table, been there sexually, all the while holding down jobs that pay dramatically less than a man would get for the same work. And BECAUSE they're women, professional advancement is far more difficult.

And

Yet

They

Persist

Hillary DID break a glass ceiling. Now it is time for women across the nation to rise up and persist. To show us the way. I felt the electricity, the literally palpable excitement, at the Women's March (DC Edition) now nearly a year ago. One of the participants that day, in a pink pussy hat, is now a Delegate-Elect to the Virginia House. Many women spoke about running for something.

Men, face it. We've done a good job of leading, but also a really crappy job on so many occasions. I should think we're now enlightened enough to go all in on supporting women as our leaders.

I know I am.

some manufactured thing and say to myself: designed by a man -- harder to clean than necessary; designed by a man - seat too long for shorter legs.

And so forth.

Our world would be way different if women had been doing most of the designing and building. I think our interstates would be built very differently, allowing for more ease of access for emergency vehicles, for example.

environment, other people, the planet, etc through any means possible (98% of shootings with guns are done by men during non war periods in the US). We give life and they take it. This has been a patriarchal planet in 99% of cultures and societies for thousands of years and look where we are. Too bad the earth is going to die before women could be given a couple of thousand years to see if we could do any better.

about the testosterone poisoning and patriarchy run amok.

However, I have more hope about the longevity of the planet. There's a lot happening that just may pull us away from the brink of total destruction. So, have faith. Just a smidgen. And, btw, women will have a very important part to play.

Well, Stinky, I gotta tell you . . . Sweet Thing and I have been married for over 51 years. It took about six months for me to understand that the correct answer to ANY question is: "Yes, Dear!"

White women just aren't as consistent enough to be depended on to lead a movement at this time. Once they've shown the same consistency that black women and other women of color have, then they can share the lead.

I never have understood why men are so afraid of powerful women that they have to forcibly stop us whenever we begin to show strength. We get beat, burnt, raped, sold, viewed as objects that can't be trusted, as hormone driven, weak minded, petty, simple, stupid property. We're hated for being longed for and looked down on for that magical thing we can do...make life.

I've read a lot about what women throughout history have had to do in order to make our abilities acceptable to men. If we could just be, just each do what we can do in the ways women do it, we could...we CAN make this world anew.

Less wars, more rights. Men have made a mess of things.
Let women govern and I'll bet things improve.
I still wish Sally Yates would run.
