Stoned man calls 911 during police chase and asks to speak with Donald Trump

A Florida man being pursued by a police car called 911 and asked to speak to US President Donald Trump, whom he claimed to know personally.

Aric Frydberg was recorded asking for the president during a police chase in Collier County, on Florida's west coast on Tuesday (14 November).

Police said the chase started when Frydberg was spotted acting suspiciously while parked at parked at a post office at 12:36am.

The sheriff's deputy claimed to have smelled what he believed was marijuana coming from the car and also allegedly spotted a green substance in the car.

It was then police say that the suspect grabbed the bag, put it in his mouth, and sped away, a probable cause statement said, reported ABC News.

The operator can be heard telling the suspect, in audio obtained by WFTX: "That is a legit police officer behind you trying to pull you over."

It is alleged that Frydberg ignored all instructions to pull over, claiming the sheriff's deputy had hit him "in the face and took all my medication".

The recording hears a man ask for his mother and then the US Commander-in-Chief.

"I want to speak to President Trump. I want to speak to the President of the United States of America," he says. "Donald Trump is a close friend of mine. We made a deal.

"It wasn't his fault, it was the Jews who f***ed me, not Donald Trump, it was the Jewish community."
