(615 posts)No dick jokes
No small dick jokes
No limp dick jokes
No beer gut jokes
No weak man jokes
No masculinity jokes.
How about we focus on treating people with respect and stop the demonizing with a broad brush? That might be a better path to respect.

Few people realize this, but fart jokes are in the bible.

(24,654 posts)The post made me think about it seriously too. I honestly cannot come up with a dick joke I have heard that didn't come from a man.

(27,995 posts)as a woman, it's Scary when a man pushes his physical boundaries, you don't know what's going to come next. That "learned fear" that men can physically hurt you is what traumatizes us.

(153,185 posts)perhaps the perverts can be coached by the majority of men who have no problem....or better yet, just get rid of the perverts

(17,455 posts)Not touching people or acting innappropriately in a sexual manner should come natural to adults.

(17,455 posts)Where I used to work, we had to take "diversity training" classes. Basically, these were classes that "taught" you how to not be a prick to people who are different than you. Unbelievable that adults have to be taught this.

(153,185 posts)I don't think they do
people who have a problem working with others, for example women and anyone who isn't the same color as them - get the fuck rid of them - that will teach them how to behave better than any "classes" will

(17,455 posts)This was back in the 90's at a huge company. There were over 200 people in my department alone.
One of our co-workers was a gay guy. He happened to be my neighbor. He was a good guy, and I had him and his partner over to the house for drinks a few times. We were friends.
Well, he was bullied at work without mercy. By a relatively large group of men. Rude comments, harassment, that sort of thing. I used to stand up for him, but what the hell is one person going to do? Those incidents were the catalysts for this diversity training.
I sure hope that things in the workplace are better now. The 90's seem like yesterday, but things were really a lot different then.

Expunge the problem!

(65,159 posts)And, it's not just the majority of men. It's the vast preponderance. We don't even half to work full time on it. About twice a year per good guy and the "classes" are addressed.

(27,995 posts)and now that many women are finally speaking out, maybe theyll think twice before sexually harassing.
