I looked around and surprisingly I couldn't find any video of this old SNL bit.

This was from 1978 - from the "Franken and Davis" segment - which was a semi-regular bit Franken did with his partner Tom Davis.

I remembered the part with the political ad tit for tat - but I forgot about the "we're communists" opening...no wonder you can't find video...!

If you use your imagination - the transcript is still pretty funny - the thumbnails are from the segment.

But its pretty ironic - 40 years later - and here we are talking about the same freaking shit!!!
