(6,212 posts)a bigger idiot than trump.
Those who voted for him.

(12,875 posts)Though Trump is an ignoramus, he is also an accomplished con man. His voters are the proverbial suckers born every minute.

(3,115 posts)If they'd all turn to spoofing this asshole or ignoring him completely, his orange head would explode. He has no shame or pride. Like you said, he's a huckster through and through.

(12,875 posts)And that is a lot of coverage, like it or not.

(12,875 posts)When, in an attempt to be "fair," they fail to call a spade a spade.
Also, during the general election, the major media gave 3 times more coverage to Hillary's emails than substantive policy issues.
The so-called liberal media failed us in the run-up to GW's 2003 invasion of Iraq, going along with all the bogus claims rather than calling bullshit on the lies.

(3,115 posts)I fume when the news networks even deign to call this ridiculous orange piece of shit "president."

(6,212 posts)I have never called him president and I never will. It makes me furious trump and his family reside in the White House.

(22,976 posts)FDR used that desk. Jackie Kennedy had it moved to the Oval Office, where it remained.
But that fat, whiney, Russian sellout actually sits there and defiles it. It turns my fucking stomach to know that bastard is the real president. The way he behaves...it cant be real. I refuse to accept him and all the crap hes dumped on good people. Shaking my goddamned head so much Im getting motion sickness.

(19,204 posts)as "president", not President, like I would if writing about an actual President of the United States. He'll always be a small 'p' president to me.

(58,724 posts)Then does it become a banana?
BumRushDaShow
(129,535 posts)so I doubt it.
VOX
(22,976 posts)Caveat: It then only becomes a banana to approximately 33-36% of Americans.

(12,448 posts)the more Dump trashes them, the better I like them. I like CNN even better when they tweet back to him. Succinct and yet condescending.

(431 posts)Instead of being objective, they try too hard to be neutral. This was a nice clap back though from CNN.

(3,335 posts)weak. In this case their response was appropriate and just the right amount of decorum. Trump is the one who comes off as sounding like a fool. r
I know that Trump does these things to either make himself relevant or to detract from something else going on that he doesn't want to talk about. Ideally, he should be ignored regardless of his motive. However, everyone is on to his motives, and until the Dotard starts giving respect he doesn't deserve any in return. And I won't hold it against CNN for a smackdown against the Dotard every once in a while.

The outside world already KNOWS the truth about the sorry-ass idiot president who shits on everyone but his filthy rich buddies.

(10,303 posts)Officially due to low number of viewers. Even given the fact that it was a US news station with output of interest primarily to (certain) Americans, they got plenty of censures from OFCOM (UK equivalent of FCC... but with some teeth) for their output.
I can buy the low viewer argument... Comparing Fox News to BBC, Sky, ITN, etc... You know you are going to get news if you tune to these channels. You don't know if you are getting news if you tune to Fox News.

I watch CNN International quite a bit and it is very good. One thing they don't do much that regular CNN does is have Trump cultists on regularly twisting themselves into knots regurgitating nonsense and idolizing their favorite baboon. That's probably what he can't stand.

(31,241 posts)The president himself has fared even worse: A median 22 percent are confident that Trump will do the right thing in global affairs, down from 64 percent who had confidence in Obama.

(4,720 posts)The baby king and the Republican Clowns of the Apocalypse cavort to an ugly truth of their own collective mulling, difficult to fathom or articulate even for the very few with the courage to attempt it. KPFK radio in SoCal delivers the most honest news I've ever found in my 70 years. Like many of us, I generally rely upon what I am able to see first hand as well as images which I choose to trust. Who can really say for sure; I've been hoodwinked many times...
