Roy Moore illustrates why Trump won --- because Fox/Limbaugh created hate towards Dems.

After Trump's election, there was a flood of postmortem news pieces.
A large number of those news articles used "economic issues" to explain why people voted for Trump.

Many of us across America, especially those outside cities, realized this was wrong.
We knew many Trump voters didn't vote FOR Trump. They voted AGAINST Hillary. Against Dems. Against exaggerated "liberal elites".

Why? Because Fox and Limbaugh and Breitbart have been telling lies to America for decades. They've been exaggerating what liberals say and do. Their goal is to deflect populist anger away from the CEOs who are destroying the middle class with gig jobs, part-time no-benefits employment, and constant downward pressure on wages and benefits. Those CEOs invest in right-wing news to have the right wing lie and tell America that the average Walmart worker is really getting screwed -- not by the Walton family -- but by ... liberals. The right wing media will find any story possible to inflate: Obama eats sushi. He has a muslim name. Hillary did something wrong with emails, and Benghazi. Liberal colleges are bad. Liberal gays want marriage.

Liberal liberal liberals - Fox and Limbaugh tell America to hate Hillary, and Obama, and liberals, and Dems.

Finally, the Roy Moore saga has made national Democrats, and the mainstream media, realize what is going on.
People in Alabama are saying "I'd rather vote for a pedophile than a Democrat".

The media is shocked. But me and you and most everyone else at DU is not surprised.

We know how the rightwing media got Trump elected: by inciting hate for liberals and Hillary. Trump voters mostly didn't vote for Trump. Many voted against Hillary.

The country is trending blue. There are more Democrats than Republicans. If Democrats go to the polls in numbers, they can't mathematically lose. Virginia proved that. Gillespie actually put up good numbers, it's just that the Democrats turned out.

So GOTV...and also, time. Americans from 0-40 years of age are more Blue than ever before. Trump's base, the angry 50+ years old are dying off. It's crude to say and even think, but it's true. It's just that they vote with a passion, so they make their voices heard.

It wouldn't happen for a solid 20 years or so. But look at the popular vote totals for each candidate dating back to 2000. There's a clear Democratic shift occurring.

As witnessed by protests all over the country since then and they do not appear to be letting up anytime soon.

Those that voted formTrump because of Hillary regret their vote. His base has shrunk, not grown. The GOP as a party has shrunk. Trump has not grown it. The Mid Terms could not come soon enough.

They have created such hate and divisiveness that a Democrat is worse than a pedophile to people.

would you vote for a Democrat over the child molester he wouldn't answer and changed the subject.

He divorced my sister in law and basically abandoned his family of 4 kids. He ended up short selling his home and struggles today. While we loony liberals, own a home in San Francisco, have money in the bank and go on vacations. He puts us down because we are liberals when he is a loser. When he was a Raising his kids he raised them on a steady dose of liberals are bad and Rush was on in the car and their home. The 3 of the 4 adult kids barely are making it but they feel superior to us because they are conservative. That is some crazy brainwashing.

As he lays out in his latest colonic irrigation in print form, “The Big Lie: Exposing the Nazi Roots of the American Left.”

The key to these fuckers is, even if they’re 50 points ahead on the scoreboard, they ALL fight like their very survival depends on it. They play dirty and for keeps. So when they go low, we need to tunnel underneath them.

And now it's so far out of control that we have a president whose job it is to roll back years of progressive legislation because of the unfiltered hate. And I fear its going to get worse before it gets better.
