Mission Accomplished! Rs have shifted sexual predator label onto Ds and Media types

What started with tRump (and was effectively pushed aside during the election) moved to the media with the Weinstein/Spacey et al allegations.

And there it probably would have stayed, until R hopeful Roy Moore was revealed as being a pedophile of long standing. That revelation threatened R control of the Senate, and THAT could not be allowed to happen. At the least, an effort needed to be made to keep that seat in R hands, so the Rs went back to their playbook and launched yet another false equivalency/whataboutism/they all do it campaign to muddy the waters and hopefully save their wounded Senate candidate.

And it looks like it worked. Again.

Has anyone noticed that since the Moore accusers came forward we have been treated to a steady stream of D (Franken, Conyers) leaders and media (read: left wing, even if they aren’t) types (Rose, Lauer) accused of sexual misconduct? Anyone notice that no other Rs have been accused of such misconduct since Moore? How can that be?

The latest polls have Moore regaining his lead, while another poll has R voters saying that sexual misconduct is a liberal problem.

Never forget: Rs play for blood, and they take no prisoners.

Mentioned this to my wife yesterday. It's so blatantly obvious. Why are the Dems so feckless, so unable to see this shit coming and fight back, or at least be prepared? We had to have known this was coming. The Republicans ALWAYS play offense, never defense. Of course they were going to dredge up any distraction they could find. They're brilliant at playing the long game, while we Democrats seem quite adept at bending down and begging for forgiveness just before we resign.

5. Have there been any charges of sexual assault against an under age woman or boy against Ds?

It really is up to the women who are involved just where they want to go with these revelations. O'Keefe is no doubt working overtime to find the Democrats that can be exposed with this, but always remember it was FOX media first and they set the standard for the shoes that are now dropping all over. They will not rest until they bring down as many Democrats as possible.
I only hope that the results will include Trump having to resign also. This is the real "draining of the swamp."

10. NO. I'm saying they're being conflated to make child molestation seem normal.

Not Franken, nor Conyers, nor Lauer, not any of them, have been accused of child molestation. But the GOP has been brilliant at digging up the slightest transgressions by Democrats and saying they're just as bad as a Moore molesting children. They're all the same, right? Moore is still running, he's fighting. What do Dems do? We roll over and curl into a little ball and say "I'm sorry," then disappear. I honestly do not believe the charges against Franken, based upon all of the evidence that has been made public. I know little about the Conyers situation, nor of Lauer. But I do know that none of them have been accused of molesting children, but we treat it as if it's all the same.

We are our own worst enemies, indeed.

But seriously, I am tired of the first response from our side, when the accusations is against one of our own, being - that damn lying woman being used by the Republicans for political gain, followed by character assassination, half-nude photos, a dossier of everyone she ever slept with or voted for. It's almost like being back in the 60s and 70s, when making an allegation of tape when you were not beaten to a bloody pulp put you on trial.

13. I don't know if I agree. The republicans and supporters would say this if it was 14 R to 1 D;

that is, if 14 republicans were accused and 1 democrat was accused they would still spin it the same and their supporters will always believe it even with all the evidence in front of them. They are protecting their "brand" and will deny any wrongdoing or excuse it away.
They have zero loyalty to the country as a whole and they know it so, instead they defy, disrupt and destroy anything that tries to come their way that's even slightly negative.

Things seem to be dying down on Franken but Moore is trying to win a seat so that's going to stay in the news more prominently.

The infotainment media cannot be counted on to correct the record or weigh and report on these stories accurately or fairly.
