(15,622 posts)My point is it is more likely that ISP's will gouge domain holders to optimize the lading speeds of their pages, rather than their,own customers. Sites that compete with ISP's (Netflix vs ATT's streaming service) may not even be allowed to stream, or will be charged huge fees (raising Netflix rates) to provide crappy streaming quality.
Big retailers such as Amazon can afford these fees, and will shut out other sites whose pages load slowly or not at all.
This is far more insidious than people realize .
