'Art of the Deal' author Tony Schwartz says Trump is "decompensating"

which is a psychiatric term. And he knows Trump pretty well. Saying it on Ari Melber now.

Edited to add: The term "episodes of decompensation" is used by psychiatrists and psychologists to describe the deterioration of the mental health of an individual who, up till that point, was maintaining his or her mental illness.

Schwartz indicated that members of the WH staff have reached out to a psychiatrist for help dealing with Trump.

I had to look it up, I've heard it but never knew exactly what it meant.

From Wiki:

... Psychology
See also: Narcissistic rage and narcissistic injury
See also: Disinhibition

In psychology, the term refers to the inability to maintain defense mechanisms in response to stress, resulting in personality disturbance or psychological imbalance.[2][3] Some who suffer from narcissistic personality disorder or borderline personality disorder may decompensate into persecutory delusions to defend against a troubling reality.[4]

Thanks, but I wanted to see the more clinical explanation.

It seems to me that the person is already broken. The facade of normalcy breaks. It has been many years since I took those Psychology classes.

That's for his family to sort out. That is, if they're not in jail.

Meanwhile, get his ass out of there! I don't care where he goes just remove him from office!

He's a danger to the planet.

...that he had misspoken. But seeing the definition of "decompensating" is the psychiatric description and term for what I think of as the mind "decomposing"....and yes, I think we really are watching this happen real time with Trump.

And its frightening because I am very worried about what he might do in his "decompensating"....

I literally wake up each day and worry about what he has tweeted now and has he launched a missile....

Completely over my head - have no clue what is going on around me, what they are saying. Lied and BS’d my way through life and have no real understanding of how and why - why do people believe my lies? All I know is I’m at the top and MUST STAY THERE. They’ve even given my the power to blow up the WORLD!!
