Matt Lauer - insulting sexual harassment skit from 2012.

Sometimes, truth really is stranger than fiction. Take, for example, this five-year-old clip from the Today show, resurfaced by The Daily Show on its Twitter account Wednesday—a pre-recorded sketch in which Matt Lauer farcically “breaks his silence” about pretend sexual harassment at the hands of Willie Geist. The clip plays somewhat differently in the wake of news Wednesday that NBC has fired Lauer following an allegation of sexual harassment that the network, per NBC News Chairman Andy Lack, has reason to believe was not an isolated event.

It is so condescending and offensive to women who have been harassed at work (or elsewhere).

I don't watch the Today show but I cannot think of any way that this skit would be appropriate on a show like Today. Not to mention , as others have said, it's comic treatment of a real problem of sexual harassment in the workplace. Fast forward to today and... OMG!
