It's satire obviously, but the fact that it's not hyperbole makes me weep bitter tears of regret that my country, a once shining example for the world, has become nothing more than a plutocratic banana republic and its happening in real time, right in front of us and seems to move like a tsunami, crushing any resistance in its path with barely a shrug or drop in momentum.

Like a tsunami, once the forward thrust is done and the ebb and flow returns to an equilibrium, the damage that remains behind is intense and also extensive and long-lasting...
