Alan Keyes: Roy Moore Is Being Stripped Of His ‘Personhood’ Like ‘Unborn Children’

Prior to the press conference held earlier this month at which dozens of Religious Right activists gathered to defend Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore amid multiple reports that he had pursued sexual relationships with teenage girls when he was in his 30s, extremist right-wing activist Alan Keyes complained that the allegations against Moore were stripping him of his “personhood.”
Keyes, who was being interviewed by Gordon Klingenschmitt for his “Pray In Jesus Name” program, fumed that Moore was being denied the due process of law as he attempted to link the issue to legal abortion.
“We’re going to allow the people we choose to be candidates to be stripped of their personhood?” he said. “The last time that happened in the Supreme Court of the United States, the result has been a holocaust that has claimed the lives of millions upon millions upon millions of unborn children.”
“We’re going to let them strip somebody of their personhood, treat them as if they were not human beings entitled to respect for their God-endowed rights?” he asked. “We’re going to let that happen just because it’s an election?”
“That spells the end of true elections in this country,” Keyes warned. “They are going to take us from being the United States of America to being the United Socialist Republic of the old Soviet Union where their constitution was a sham and their rights were nonexistent.”
