This sort of seems like a defendant asking a prosecutor to drop the case but maybe there is more to this than it seems (apart from a pattern of behavior).

Devin Nunes may very well be charged (by Mueller) with Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice. He conspired with Trumpy and a handful of others to nullify the House Intelligence Investigation with his various stunts and maneuvers.
