Even if you believe Trump—as he’s claiming now—never asked Comey to drop the investigation on Flynn (and face it, it’s a matter of Trump’s word now versus Comey’s contemporaneous written record then), it still doesn’t address the fact that Trump fired Comey to try to end the Russia investigation. Which he admitted to Lester Holt on TV. And reportedly to the Russians as well.

It also doesn’t address the fact that Trump has been reportedly asking Senators to end their investigation of the Russia matter.

And compounded on that you have him frequently undermining the investigation by attacking its legitimacy on Twitter.

Like he’s doing right now. Today.

It’s like there’s firewalls of obstruction.
