People who 'spend every penny they have' stimulate economic growth in the local economy. It's the people who inherit a billion dollars from their father, and then either stash in in shell companies in the Cayman Islands, or invest in Chinese companies that are dedicated to driving their American counterparts out of business that you have to worry about it.
