Dave Weigel: Debbie Gibson's note is devastating to Roy Moore's defense

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/woman-shares-new-evidence-of-relationship-with-roy-moore-when-she-was-17/2017/12/04/0c3d1cde-d903-11e7-a841-2066faf731ef_story.html?utm_term=.82d32e2cb2be

At a Nov. 27 campaign event in the north Alabama town of Henagar, Moore said: “The allegations are completely false. They are malicious. Specifically, I do not know any of these women.”

At a Nov. 29 rally at a church in the south Alabama town of Theodore, Moore said, “Let me state once again: I do not know any of these women, did not date any of these women and have not engaged in any sexual misconduct with anyone.”

Gibson said that after finding the scrapbook, she was not sure whether to make it public given the threats she received after publication of the original story. Then she heard what Moore said last week, she said, and contacted The Post.

“He called me a liar,” said Gibson, who says she not only openly dated Moore when she was 17 but later joined him in passing out fliers during his campaign for circuit court judge in 1982 and exchanged Christmas cards with him over the years. “Roy Moore made an egregious mistake to attack that one thing — my integrity.”

Moore's lawyer said was not written by him. (not shown in pic here) - In other words - sure he signed it - but someone else wrote the restaurant and put him in that place at that time to dovetail into her "story"

2. It doesn't matter who wrote the name of the restaurant. He's claiming he doesn't know

and never dated any of the women and they're all liars.

They're obviously not.

And I think she did write the restaurant name and date at the time, to serve as a keepsake. But looking at the two writing samples they were obviously written by the same man.

To make a big deal about that was because it added credence to her story tying..restaurant and attack. It is easier for him to just claim its all bullshit ...didn't know her...just one in a million years oops I signed....never heard of restaurant. Heard news conference and didn't hear alred say she wrote the name.

10. Who would sign a year book after the year it was published?

The words in blue ink may have been written later to document details but the part in black ink clearly was written the year the yearbook was published.

I bet lots of them wonder why he was interested in a girl as old as 17.

4. We need to stop trying to talk "reason" and "evidence to these people.

It doesn't matter. Yes, we should be spending money down there on GOTV and everything needed to give as good a showing as possible.

But if we lose, what we need to do is tie Republicans to this pervert. We can't be afraid of running ads connecting every single GOP member to Moore and what he has done and who he is.

Not because anything is wrong with Alabamans as a group, but because Alabama--like the rest of the nation--has enough idiot racist fuckheads to elect even the most disgusting and unqualified of Republican candidates.

A Democrat with an overdue library book is ballot poison, but a literal rapist of children is just fine for Republican voters.
