Trump thinking ahead about conviction in Senate

My guess is that Trump sees his exposure and involvement in the illegal conspiracies with Russian agents to get dirt on Hillary leading to his sure impeachment (specially if this drags into late 2018....he will be looking at a Demicratic Congress that will set it in motions) and possible conviction in the Senate. He needs every crazy right wing Republican he can get in the Senate. That is why he came out for Roy Moore and that is also why he is begging Orrin Hatch to stay in the Senate. There is a buzz that Hatch will retire and Mitt Romney will replace him. Trump knows Reoublicans that put country above party, like Romney, will vote to convict him if it gets to that stage. It was telling yesterday that in his speech in Utah Trump kept saying "Hatch is a fighter. A lot of people say they are fighters but they are not." The fight he is referring to is the fight to save his ass, and nothing else. He is literally begging the 83 year old Hatch to stay another term because he knows Hatch will not vote to convict him even with an overwhelming evidence of law breaking by Trump.

That's also why they are trying to undermine Mueller. Not to fire him but just as an excuse for Republican Senators to not vote for impeachment.
