grads, tall, pretty, healthy girls admit neither had any idea how many senators California sent to congress. They'd been taught that in elementary school, junior high and high school. The latest, of course, is the almost insane degree of partisan dishonesty on the right. Wish we could get our investment in their schooling back.

Somehow we have to teach people respect for truth, but I now believe electric shock aversion therapy would work far, far better for some than education.

an INVESTMENT in our young people's futures so to counter RWNJs argument that public education costs too much $...

It takes $ to make ANY investment so educating our young folks will cost $...

can we be intellectually honest? This is a tax cut for most people (not all admittedly, but most). Saying it is not a tax cut hurts our credibility with anyone who just looks at the details of the new plan(s) and compares it with the existing tax code. Saying it doesn't make it so.
