Trump knows Democrats will take the House in 2018 and he can only be saved in the Senate
He knows that Democrats will take over the House in 2018 in a wave election and, if he is not impeached by the current Republican House, despite all evidence of him committing obstruction of justice, abuse of power, and illegal conspiracy with a foreign power (before he assumed power), will be impeached by the incoming Democratic House majority. Democrats may gain seats in the Senate but not enough to convict him. (2/3 of Senate has to agree to convict). So he knows he needs hard core Republican nuts like Roy Moore and Orrin Hatch who won't give a fuck about the Constitution as long as their man is in power, and he is doing all he can to get Moore elected and Hatch to change his mind about retiring, not because he genuinely likes or cares for them, but people like them are the only ones that are standing between him being rightfully facing the consequences of crapping on the Constitution, and staying in power for as long as he can.
I have a feeling Mueller may have TONS more evidence that he is not letting on to hang Trump and co. by their balls.
