16. I'm going to speculate that banks don't turn over private financial information to foreign

governments without being legally required to. It sends a message to all it's customers that they don't give a shit about their privacy. I'm not actually sure what, if any, value a US subpoena would have on a German bank anyway unless it had been approved by the German court system.
