With Help of These 9 Democrats, GOP Pushing to Deliver 'Insane' Gifts to Wall Street

From the article:

Wall Street banks are raking in record profits, but that's not stopping Senate Republicans—with the help of nine of their Democratic colleagues—from attempting to ram through an "insane" piece of legislation that would scrap a number of key post-financial crisis regulations, "line the pockets of bank executives," and leave consumers more vulnerable to predatory corporations.....

I would have hoped that the facts regarding the votes would weigh more than whoever wrote / published the article. wasn't even archnemesis Greenwald ffs.

I have lived long enough and fought way too long to know that sadly, democrats are also bought and paid for. It's sad, really it is. But money buys their votes just like Republicans. It's a truly sad revelation to you and I'm sorry to be the bearer of this news.

The politics in this country is bought and paid for. Whether it be lobbyists, Russians, the Mercers or the Koch's...things have changed.

And unless the Dems get out and vote the politics and rich wealthy donors will run this country.

Republicans are horrid people, democrats do the same shenigans, but at least Democrats, for the most part, vote FOR the people and the good of the country.

Yes, I recommend your post. Highly!

Keep on trying, as I am. God bless you for pointing these Democrats out.

The source of the information shouldn't matter. The voting record will be a fact, not an opinion.

Democrats must accept that not all Democrats will vote as one.

But in my opinion, this is a vote for big money and against the bottom 95%.

There must be some explanation, but I've found my Senator Warren to be best at representing my view. So I say WTF?

Do people really think a big recession couldn't possibly strike again? Un regulated these banks will drag us through the up and downs of the so called "Business Cycle" until there is nothing left. How many times can you lose everything, house and savings?

led to the most recent crash that nearly crashed the US economy.

But as the current GOP tax scam shows, politicians never seem to learn from experience.

are doing it for financial gain. And I am neither implying nor assuming that.

It is possible that these members feel that this is a good idea. I cannot personally imagine what the justification would be, but perhaps someone here will suggest one.

Democratic Underground - fighting for democratic principles and ideas. And what are we to do when our own turn on we the people to feed the rich again? These 9 are far more likely to listen to us than any republicans ever would. So time to blast their phones and emails and remind them that this is simply not acceptable. And I would like to see our leadership call these people out. Party discipline in the face of what is coming down is critical, and yet these shitty deals are struck and many of us find our hands and tongues tied? I think these folks deserve every criticism they get!

when he first ran in 2010. He was an incumbent having been appointed to fill Salazar's seat when he was appointed to Obama's first cabinet. Of course I worked for him and voted for him in the general. His opponent was Ken Buck, a complete loon. Bennet just squeaked by. Won handily in 2016.

He's good most of the time, but very corporate and not so pro worker. Has voted anti union a few times. I'd prefer someone less conservative, but doubt I'll see it in my lifetime.
