Where did all the Radicals on Left go?

99.9% of political radicals these days are on the Right. At least that's what I see.

What happened to Left Wing Radicals? I don't see any, and haven't for decades. Maybe you see them where I don't.

Is there a reason for the absence of Left-Wing Radicalism?

As a man of 50, I daresay it's been since the 70's or early 80's that I've heard of any Left-Wing Radicalism.

How do y'all see it?

And I do not have much of an answer for. I'm not sure how I would define radical. And thinking on it, I can't even think up very many topics a Left radical would have.

Looking at the stuff the Numb-nut Republicans accuse us of is just sheer ridiculousness. Things that they are just sure of, That we worship George Soros and work for him, all Liberal men want to dress in drag so we can go in women's bathrooms, cutting taxes for middle income and poorer people is unAmerican, There are cool Brown folk and even normal Muslims is again unAmerican. That we masterminded Law Vegas massacre as a way to make white guys look bad and be able to take their guns away, Global Warming ... ad infinitum

I guess my point is that I cant name many (any?) issues a Hard Left Radical is manic about that isn't at least a good idea. I mean good health care for all Americans is a good Idea. Taking care not to ruin our Earth is a good Idea. Trying to do something about gun violence in this country is a good Idea.

What are Radical Far Lefters Manic about anyway? Maybe I just ain't heard them yet.

The liberal establishment stays more on message with effective gas lighting and other forms of bullying and disenfranchisement.

One does not even need to be radical to be labeled as such.

This is unfortunate as it narrows the base and stifles alternative viewpoints.

Most young people are pretty left .

But the occupy movements and BLM are good examples.

And I think saying "more left" would be an oversimplification.

I think we need an overhaul of the structure. Healthcare for example, I am increasingly seeing some of the reasons we're 37th in terms of quality not as bugs but as features of it for the establishment.

radicals have to be bold and sometimes rude. We really don't want to go there. We have a hold on ourselves because we don't want to be radical. We want to be sensible and kind.

We are strong. We are smart. The country will turn with our help. We will improve the lives of those who we encounter.
We are thinking adults who will change this country with our wisdom, reason, and command of our common sense.

Is it radical to be Bernie Sanders or Randi Rhodes or Chris Hedges?
They are out there getting it right. They are researching and proclaiming. Are they radical enough?

I think a majority of the country would think I’m one.

We cannot currently gain by public discussions over dramatically changing the economy and the governments role in that economy. We can currently gain by pushing Medicare for all or some form of system that provides results in line with the concept of healthcare being a right. That alone would be an enormous shift in society in many ways.

Many of us are watching as our thoughts become more palatable to the people. It’s the point of bottom up movements dealing with unpopular issues at the time. Helping people to evolve.

Yeah, Trumps a shit show. I’m still fully aware of the progress we have made. Over time, our ideas are winning.
