Colorado State Rep. Lori Saine arrested with gun at Denver International Airport
DENVER Colorado State Rep. Lori Saine, R-Dacono, was arrested Tuesday at Denver International Airport for carrying a weapon in a public transportation facility. Court records and the Denver Police Department confirm Saine's arrest, and DPD said the case will be forwarded to the district attorneys office to determine if she will face charges.
The pre-filed charge is a sixth-degree felony, introduction of a firearm into a transportation facility.
Requests for comment made to Saine and House Republican leadership were not immediately returned.
Saine was the primary sponsor of a bill in the 2017 legislative session that would have repealed the prohibition of high-capacity magazines for certain guns, and which would have eliminated a ban on so-called gravity knives.
The bill died after it was introduced in committee. Saine sits on the House Agriculture, Livestock and Natural Resources; Legislative Council; and Legislative Audit committees.

Meanwhile, in Greeley, we are awaiting tonight's city council meeting that will deal with, among other things, whether the candidate who lied about a felony conviction will be seated anyway.
