If Trump were to be impeached, indicted, convicted, and imprisoned,

would he still be eligible for Secret Service protection in prison?

I ask because all US Presidents are eligible for lifetime protection. So if the orange con man were by some miracle to be prosecuted and imprisoned, how would the Secret Service protection work for a prisoner?

And would this not be an excellent thing to have to consider?

One with gold plated bathroom fixtures, the other for the Secret Service. There could even be a reality television series.

If Trump is impeached and removed from office then he loses his pension and secret service protection.

If he resigns then he keeps his pension and secret service protection.

If he resigns and then is convicted in criminal court then he still keeps his secret service. I am not sure how that would work in prison. But I assume that they would be assigned to protect there and would have to work something out with the warden.

An orange jumpsuit would contrast nicely with his bizarre hair color and healthy complexion.

He resigns and keeps his SS protection. As I understand it, they are under his orders. He can hire out his SS for a fee to foreign diplomats, performers, etc. I'm sure there would be no end to the number of people who need this type of high end protection and wouldn't mind paying, say, $1000 per hour.

I'm just thinking like the grifter in chief.
