Kellyanne Conway on her 'Me too' moment: 'Nobody cared'

Kellyanne Conway said Tuesday that she had her own Me too moment in which she decried sexual harassment during the 2016 presidential election but that nobody cared due to her political views.

According to Conway, a day after the release of the explosive Access Hollywood tape in which then-candidate Donald Trump boasted about groping women during an off-camera conversation with host Billy Bush she sought to denounce what she said were instances of sexual harassment by congressmen against her and other women during her time working as a Republican political operative in Washington, D.C. But she said she was ignored by the press.
Under fire to defend Trumps lewd comments about women, Conway cast the lawmakers and officials criticizing his remarks as hypocrites during an interview with MSNBC last October.
"I would talk to some of the members of Congress out there," Conway said during an Oct. 9 appearance. "When I was younger and prettier, them rubbing up against girls, sticking their tongues down women's throats, uninvited, who didn't like it."

Conway also defended his record on women in the workplace.
I can tell you that this is an administration
that values the female advisers, she said.

(13,081 posts)The world is not black and white. Context is an absolute necessity, and other than that there are no absolutes.
If she was sexually harassed while working in DC a perfectly believable claim she lost all credibility on the issue when she chose to bring it up in defense of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and outright rape.

When I was younger and prettier? Seriously?
This is interesting, from wiki. I shall research her. Ack!
In the 1990s, Conway, with other young conservative women Laura Ingraham, Barbara Olsen and Ann Coulter,[17] helped turn punditry into "stylish stardom" in both Washington and cable television.[22][23] In another review of the era in the capital, Conway as Fitzpatrick put it that her "broad mind and small waist have not switched places".[24] Conway, Ingraham and Coulter, sometimes termed among others "pundettes",[25] also all appeared on Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect over the period.[17]
Among the political figures Conway worked for were Congressman Jack Kemp; Senator Fred Thompson;[19][better source needed] former Vice President Dan Quayle;[26] Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich; and Congressman (now Vice President) Mike Pence.[21] She worked as the senior advisor to Gingrich during his unsuccessful 2012 United States presidential election campaign.[27] Another client in 2012 was U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin.[28]

(28,979 posts)And part of that group of harpies Ingraham, Coulter and Olsen? I recall Olsen stating that women should not be allowed to vote. All hideous creatures who sold their integrity as women to be rightwing pundettes.
So which of those amazing GOP men can we assume she is referring to when she says "Me too" ? BLECH.
