It sucks that Roger Stone set you up, but it's a Brave New World and it's time for your replacement to be seated.

Please clean out your office by the weekend so as not to give the GOP a complaint of a double standard.

But there are no credible accusations against Sen. Franken, and the people of Minnesota deserve to have both of their elected Senators serving them.

The GOP is supporting Moore getting elected, despite credible allegations that he sexually assaulted an underage girl.

The Dems are calling on Franken, who at worst squeezed a couple of asses, to resign.

We eat our own. We never call the other side out, instead, I've heard democrats say that that is for the GOP to do, even as the GOP is happy to call out the dems. This is why the dems lose. They look weak & stupid.

This has become a distraction. One accuser would be survivable. Over five accusers (or whatever the total is) is a pattern. There are many other potential Democratic politicians that could fill Al Franken's seat. It's time to do some house cleaning, imo.

I've been a huge fan of Franken for a long time - even before his AirAmerica days - but enough is enough. As much as I respect Al, I also respect the 10 women in the Senate who are calling for him to step down.

And yes, of course the same needs to be said about Trump and all of the Republicans who've been accused of misconduct, some of which was way worse than Franken. But if Republicans don't hold their own members to the same standard, it is what it is, which is exactly the reason why we need to be better than them.

GOP voters know Republicans are Deplorable and vote for them in spite of it. Our pitch is "Vote for us, we aren't Deplorable." This will move a few people who are on the fence. But to make that pitch you have to walk the talk

When the Access Hollywood tape came out, conservative women did exactly as you suggested. They knew that he was deplorable, but dismissed it as "boys will be boys" behavior. It's what Trump was trying to communicate by calling it "locker room talk."

But among deplorable men, I would venture to guess that the tape helped Trump. His entire campaign was about putting that "uppity Clinton woman" in her place and, by extension, all women.

We are inherently better than them, and it sucks to see people like Franken be held to a different standard. But Franken did even some of what he's accused of, which seems pretty likely, he needs to go because, as you noted, we need to walk the talk.

of democrats. They can be baited by alt right so easily. They are propagating false equivalencies. I don’t recall 10 dem senators calling on trump to resign. They treat members of own party worse than much guiliter reps. Good luck in 2018, demoralizing the party instead of uniting it.
