(10,027 posts)He could also take a leave of absence during the ethics investigation, provided the investigation is not dragged out like the recount vote that made him a Senator in the first place.
Actually perhaps provide a history of how Minnesota did not have representation during the Coleman/Franken recount and that resulted in lost legislation time for the Obama administration. That forcing him out now during a crucial tax vote is political because he is a reliable vote for protecting the interests of Minnesotans in the tax battle. He will either step aside or fight for his seat in a special election to be called in Minnesota. Let Minnesotans decide either before, during, or after the ethics investigation if they want him to continue to represent them.
