Asymmetric warfare.

Democrats in power resign upon being accused of sexual misconduct. Republicans get elected and stay in power when accused of sexual misconduct.

So accusing a Democrat is now an effective way to get him out of office. Accusing a Republican is not.

Not hard to see how this is going to play out.

Now that its shown that dems would show the door to a Senator in a blue state, I fully expect the next accusations to be aimed at a dem senator in a red state.

Either they step down as well and the GOP picks the replacement, or we get hammered over the head for playing politics with sex abuse accusations for calling for a blue state dem to resign, but not a red state. Win win for them.

"scandals" with multiple anonymous accusers...and multiple resignations in the next few months. Well before the 2018 elections we'll be so depleted that we'll never come close to having the Senate or House again.

This crap make me not want to vote. This is politics and not some system based on morals. If you take your ball and go home your are weak. Who wants to vote for weak? Own it. Talk about it. Make a difference for the better. losers give up.
