Dear Friend,
Let me spell it out for you, plain and simple: if Congress doesn't act before December 31, Medicare could automatically be cut by $25 billion.
Right now, the House of Representatives and the Senate are debating a bill that would cut taxes and raise the deficit. The larger deficit would trigger automatic cuts to Medicare. Medicare is a promise to the American people, one that can't be broken. There's still time to pass separate legislation to prevent these Medicare cuts and protect access to your doctors and hospitals but time is running out before the end of the year.
We can still protect Medicare, but we have to act NOW. Tell your legislators to prevent $25 billion in Medicare cuts before it's too late.
If these cuts go through, you could lose access to the doctors, hospitals, and other health care services you count on. Patients could be turned away from chemotherapy, rehabilitation services, and other critical care.
Medicare should not be put at risk and Congress can still make sure your health care isn't on the chopping block.
It's urgent that your legislators know exactly where you stand: Demand they take action before December 31 to protect Medicare from these harmful cuts.
Thanks for everything you do. I'll be in touch soon with an update.
Sincerely,
Fred Griesbach

and either leave messages or talk to a staffer.
Got a snort out of one of Grassley's people when I suggested he might think about not voting for the tax scam.
I have a stack of "You don't understand" letters from the three of them (Blum, Grassley, and Earnst). When the stack gets to a certain height, I'm going to burn them. It's more satisfying when you can feed a lot of them into a fire one at a time.
