First they came for the progressives...

There are some backers of liberals who find progressive rhetoric inconvenient. I saw one multiliiinaire major donor a few weeks ago, saying that he had told Nancy and Chuck, “ I better not hear any more talk about the billionaires...”

But it did make me do a double take. Wtf. I am not saying that that particular man was insincere. Just that we all have sore spots, and he is entitled to have his own.

He was a contributor and "on our side" but he takes such talk about billionaires as a personal attack.

Many progressives took him to task over the comments. I think the politicians didn’t say anything, they just took it like usual. I don’t hate billionaires, I just don’t like how they dictate the party and don’t pay a fair share of taxes. I’ve heard the argument that we shouldn’t have billionaires but I don’t think I would go that far, that might be a little too far left, even for me.
