WNYC (NPR affiliate) suspends two hosts, Leonard Lopate & Jonathan Schwartz

http://www.wnyc.org/story/longtime-wnyc-hosts-put-leave/

Interestingly, ironically about 10 days ago, Schwartz (who hosts an American Songbook music program) inserted a five-minute dissertation about fascism coming to America. He even cited Philip Roth's novel, The Plot Against America as becoming true. (Spoiler Alert: The Nazis capture Charles Lindberg and send him back to run for President and to use his position to enact Nazi programs and policies.)

I can't help but wonder if that five minutes had anything to do with his suspension.

Trust me, this guy had a laid-back attitude, spinning Sinatra, Como, Andy Williams, etc. with trivia about the music, arranger, the singer, the orchestra, etc. He rarely got political.
