I'm told @SenSchumer called @SenFranken this morning asking him privately to resign (before Gillibrand et al went public), and Schumer talked to Franken several times thru the day repeating that. Schumer's public statement then came at 5p ET

1. Gillibrand should resign. Give her seat back to Hillary.

She was fine with a Clinton endorsement just a few short years ago, but now it's tainted. Time to walk the walk and leave now.
