(590 posts)They are going to hear it from me. I get asked for money every effing day because of my previous contributions to previous candidates.
I will still be donating (and voting of course) but they will get an earful.

(6,262 posts)Nothing to DNC or sadly, to Warren.
Disappointed by my Senator - Baldwin. She really really needs some $, but am delaying that decision.
None of them will miss my paltry contribution, but it is important to me.
They are jumping on a dogmatic bandwagon without perspective or much thought as far as I can see.
Is it just because I am OLD and have seen pretty much all in this sort of behavior and know his alleged actions are far short of the career ending condemnation his detractors seek?
Maybe. But there it is. And my small wallet agrees.

(4,492 posts)They're finance staff based in the individual states. They've got nothing to do with DC.
It is just like yelling at a cashier if an item rings up wrong.

(4,492 posts)I have worked on campaigns for years. Unless you're a top dollar (4 figures) donor, chances are (in a federal race) the calls are made by a finance director, finance assistant, volunteer or intern.
Finance assistants/call time managers are considered junior level staff. They're often excluded from meetings and conference calls with the bigwigs (directors often are too).
But yeah if you think someone making under 40K a year has control, go ahead and yell at them.

(4,492 posts)Too often (in other fields too) the people at the bottom are the ones that receive the bulk of the feedback and are yelled at all day. Ever work in a call center? 90% of the employees there have no power to change it. And they're instructed not to transfer calls to a supervisor.
Feedback should be directed at the top.
I was wrong about DU-- I thought they were for the little guy. Unless it is yelling at them for something completely out of their control.
