Is Al Franken a sexual abuser?

This is NOT about whether he should resign. His resignation is a purely political matter. It has NOTHING to do with guilt or innocence. There are strong cases for and against resignation. There are lots of threads discussing that. This thread is really simple.

Is Franken guilty as alleged by his accusers?

And if you think he's guilty, of what is he guilty?

Is he as bad as Moore?

Is he as bad as Conyers?

Is he as bad as Farenthold?

Is he as bad as TRUMP?

If he comes out tomorrow and says it’s all true, I’ll change my tune. If this level of accusation is all it takes for our representatives to break out the fainting couches...I fear for the next target of the smear campaign whoever that may be.

5. Surely some of Al's groping must of occurred behind closed doors rather than always in public.

I don't know because there has been no investigation.

It’s ok because I didn’t do any more than touch and was laughing when it happened. It’s amazing how many women have crossed paths with that level of sexual assault. Bars, parties, school, park... No place is off limits.

If the people he represents are unsatisfied with him let them vote him out.

Was that he was going to force a woman to kiss him, on a stage in New England with TV cameras, his wife, and a thousand audience members watching. This assumption was based on two things: her intuition and the fact that his lips were wet.

She knew that because he kissed her on the cheek.

So that’s the entire allegation: after her portion of the awards ceremony, after he thanked her, he kissed her cheek. That’s literally ALL there is to this allegation.

And yet we’re not supposed to ask questions? I’m not even doubting the accusation — because there was literally no accusation made, in this instance, of anything even remotely approaching inappropriate behavior.

16. That's too many questions for a single answer, and therefore not really simple.

Franken does seem to have engaged in sexual abuse, perhaps at the mild end of the spectrum and almost certainly less severe than the allegations against the others.
