8. The same claim can be made against pretty much any of these public accusations.

We live in a world where women are systematically targeted for harassment and assault by powerful men and our criminal justice system is designed to ignore it. We have come to a point where going public with these kind of claims is the only real way of bringing about wider change to the way we listen to women and their experiences.

Everything u have. I just can’t go along in this case, based on my read of the accusations which in all cases don’t even meet a harassment definition.

As for setting a standard, I'd prefer legal convictions over anonymous claims.

11. I can think of plenty of congresspersons who should resign despite not being guilty of anything.

We don't live in a world where women feel comfortable outing themselves when they make claims of abuse. This is the horrible world we live in.

Trump will never be found guilty for harassment or rape. But I absolutely believe those accusations against him disqualify him for public office. People here want to argue the different kinds of accusations. I'm more concerned with undoing the culture where men think it's okay to verbally and physically hurt women (and men) at their leisure.

7. I didn't hear a united Senatorial voice calling for trump

to resign. If you can't speak up to trump, don't turn on your colleague. I don't even understand why they are doing this. Do they think they'll shame the republicans into withdrawing support for trump? for moore? for any of the other conservative sexual predators? If Sen. Franken's fellow senators can't wait for the facts to come out and determine if this is an attack on an innocent man or not, this isn't any different than a witch hunt.
