Forgive me if this is a stupid question,

but could Mueller subpoena Obama to determine if Russian sanctions may have been the basis of the warning that Obama gave Trump against hiring Flynn?

I’m thinking that Obama may have had some intelligence linking Flynn and Russia, and this information could be useful to Mueller.

He might have some useful information especially concerning why he actually fired Flynn.

I tried researching his exact motive, but could only find vague information, possibly because at the time, the private conversation between two presidents may have been considered of a personal nature.
In retrospect, he may have been quite specific in his warning, and of course that would be information that Mueller would need to know.
