Enough others have come forward, and by Al's own admission there's something there. Al will be fine, and with this martyrdom we'll always have a visible "high road", taken by one of our own. Millennials are flocking from Trump, this display is just one more reason for them to come back (or come for the first time) to the Democratic Party. Many voted for and wanted Bernie, believing he was honest and HRC wasn't, this sacrifice should help with that quite a bit. Was Al perhaps a bit too frisky in his comic days? Probably, he admits as much. He's also willing to be an actual adult and take responsibility and in this case, resign for the greater good.
You did good, Al. You'll be missed- except for if you go back to SNL, PLEASE!
Or better yet- do a talk show..think of the damage he could do, like John Oliver and others. They disguise it as comedy, but man, Oliver hits the nose on the head every single show and exposes so much GOP buffoonery I guarantee you they hate his guts massively!
