FBR collects Rs770b during October-December, additional measures now unlikely.

ISLAMABAD: Tax authorities have surpassed their collection target for the second quarter of the ongoing fiscal year, besides recovering a significant part of the shortfall during July-September on the back of a mini-budget introduced last month, reducing chances of additional measures.
Against the October-December target of Rs750 billion, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) provisionally collected Rs770 billion, a growth of 21.5% over the same period of the last year, said spokesman Dr Mohammad Iqbal.

I'm no fan of their regime...but why do you seem to want to focus on one country?

It's a global problem that the rich don't pay the taxes they owe, while making an sanctimonious argument that their "charitable donations" should somehow make up for that and also prove their inherent superiority to the rest of the human race.

is what the 1% in the USA want for the USA. While other countries struggle to improve the 1% fight to devolve the United States. I'm not criticizing the pakistani culture or people, just the way those who can afford do not pay their fair share. Pakistani rich go shopping together in a group with their own private ambulances in tow. Not something the US should emulate but the logical conclusion of libertarian plutocrats taking over in the US.
