Better watch out, because pasts have a way of coming back to bite you, especially if you're running for HIGH political office. I'll leave it there.

PLUS, we know that Dems know how to do the El-foldo quite well when thuglicans come at them.

I hate for it to come to that, but if thuglicans start digging around into the past private lives of some of these pols (Lest you think it's only men with skeletons), I'm afraid we may see a few Women have to give up their runs at the presidency or the Senate because they'll scare Dems into staying moral and pious while they continue on with their cheating, asking mistresses to have abortions or flat out raping women (Moore and tRumputin and who knows who else). NOT to say that sexual misconduct shouldn't be taken seriously and investigated (Which Franken isn't being afforded). However, if all it takes for Dems to turn on other Dems who'd force accused Dems to resign off of accusations alone, no investigations, which could show an accuser WITH merit, or a person that might have been paid to lie on Dem x, or show a person who might simply have an ax to grind with the person they're accusing, then the Dem party is done, because thuglicans will be running the Dem party with help from the National Enquirer because when thuglicans tell Dems to jump, most say HOW HIGH?

I'm registering as an Independent in January 2018. I've had enough of Dems being Charlie Brown to thuglicnans Lucy.

I've friends who are Bernie supporters who are angry at him for coming after Sen. Franken because he won't go after tRumputin or Moore. They also tell me that they're angry at Dems for being soft on thuglicans also.

Dems are in trouble with many of their constituents that I've spoken to over their asking Franken to resign sans a thorough investigation into the matter.

I didn't say she would not be re-elected in NY, so there is no assertion for which to provide evidence.

She's earned the opprobrium she is getting right now. Her dirty, back stabbing deed will not be forgotten.

It's the first time many people have even heard her name. What a start for 2020. Not exactly a gifted politician.

likely disqualified themselves from winning the Presidency in 2020. Especially Gillibrand sense she has also attacked a former Democratic President recently . Attacking a former standard-bearer of the party is not a good thing to do. See Lieberman's to 2004 campaign where he turned on Al Gore.

all people will care about when republicans turn this into a social wedge issue to divide Democrats in 2020 is that many sitting Democrats threw Franken under the bus. So those who haven't weigh in on this will not be tainted by it and an opening is being created for them turn run for the parties nomination.

she took from Democrats throughout the state.

Care to provide any evidence for your assertion?

The number of fellow New Yorkers up and down state that are talking about running against both Schumer and Gillibrand in the primary increased today. NYT just published a story about Sen. Gillibrand:

[link:https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/06/nyregion/gillibrand-franken-sexual-misconduct.html|Philippe Reines, a past adviser to Mrs. Clinton and a fierce loyalist, still excoriated Ms. Gillibrand on Twitter. “Over 20 yrs you took the Clintons’ endorsements, money, and seat. Hypocrite,” he wrote. “Interesting strategy for 2020 primaries. Best of luck.”

When the initial allegation of groping and kissing without consent emerged against Mr. Franken, Ms. Gillibrand was among the first to announce that she was returning Mr. Franken’s past donations to her campaign, redirecting them to a group that is focused on sexual assault in the military.]

She needs to get real.

And then claim it is for women everywhere. Really?? What about due process?? They damage the claims of women and reduce their concerns to a witch hunt. As a survivor of some very nasty things that life can throw at you, I am appalled. I don't need your protection. I need the support of our laws and due process. I need to know the system does what it is supposed to, that our reps are the guardians, not the judge and jury, rigging the system.

You and me both. Glad you persisted! This is the most unsightly grab for media attention and chits among an imagined desire of the Democratic base. I live in a houseful of Democrats and three Republicans and we are all appalled. This is possibly the worst day in the history of the Democratic Party! Not one of these idiots is getting our vote for anything.

Why didn't we hear anything from these self possessed Senators about the House CCRA that will put domestic violence survivors in the sight of concealed gun carriers did we?

Trump Jr. claimed attorney client privilege while talking to his father for a case that should have them both jailed for treason against the United States, yet Senator Hirono says she saw the cover of Time magazine and thought yep we should boot Franken.

The Tax fraud scam is actually going to kill a lot of poor, elderly, and disabled people? Instead of this playing judge bullshit why don't they hold public rallies throughout the country and ask people what they really care about?

This country has been sold out by an asshole that doesn’t have a clue how to negotiate or make a deal. The Chinese and the Jews think it’s Merry Christmas every day now. Where are the Democrats saying declaring Jerusalem the capital of Israel is going to get a lot of people killed? Reading some screed by a woman that says Franken squeezed her waste twice while taking a picture.

Schumer will go to The White House tomorrow and cave worse than he did when Republicans took the Supreme Court hostage. Sure Judge Gorsuch really respects Chuck, though. When Mitch McConnell jumps right in and joins the pack of deranged Democrats you know something is terribly wrong. Nothing says your cause is true and just more than having the biggest anti-woman scumbag in the Senate joining hands with yours?

Hope Warren, Harris, Sanders, Gillibrand or any of the rest don't think they will get any money or votes from me.

I haven't been arrested multiple times in Senate and House members offices to have to say to Democrats: Do your jobs!
