We sort of lost the news cycle yesterday. Probably will lose it today too.

Which is a shame because some really crazy stuff came out in Donald Jr.’s statement to the House committee.

Perhaps the Franken stuff would have merited more if there hadn’t already been an inquiry (called for by Franken himself) that would hopefully sort things out.

However I fear a few Senators hit the panic button needlessly, and it ended up snowballing out of a sense of need for solidarity and/or peer pressure.

And as a result we lost the news cycle. It will probably take Mueller’s next move, or the Madman saying something batshit crazy at his Friday rally, to win it back.

The Lynch Mob Senators lost credibility for our party.

Did they panic? Did they think the sky was going to fall if we followed the path of a Senate Inquiry?

Or was this a stunt to further the political career of presidential wannabees in the Democratic Party, such as Gillebrand, who lead the charge towards cowardice?

She also thinks Bill Clinton should have resigned.

Sounds familiar.
