High Testosterone Symptoms in Men

Aggressiveness
Aggressiveness is the term used for acting with hostility. Men who have high levels of testosterone usually respond to situations in an overly aggressive manner. They have more of a tendency to get into fights with others. A study conducted in 1999 by Penn State University titled "Testosterone and Men's Health" claims that men with higher testosterone levels would be healthier if they avoided risky behavior.
*
Impulsivity
Impulsivity describes a tendency to do things without thinking about them first. Men with high testosterone levels may act without thought of the consequences involved.

Lets not blame everything on hormone imbalance, but it is something to be aware of in both sexes.

I actually don't know a woman that hasn't been harassed at some point in her life. Children should never be targeted though.

feelings and thoughts. Awareness is needed to understand what is going on in a persons mind due to hormone imbalance. I feel this is important to solve some of what is and has been going on forever.

a female is first exposed to high level testosterone. When I first read this a few years ago, it was really food for thought. Then reading some female reaction to it, I saw the first hint of empathy from the other sex.

Before testosterone, I would be riding the subway, which is the traditional hotbed of lust in the city. And I would see a woman on the subway and I would think, she's attractive. I'd like to meet her. What's that book she's reading? I could talk to her. This is what I would say. There would be a narrative. There would be this stream of language. It would be very verbal.
After testosterone, there was no narrative. There was no language whatsoever. It was just, I would see a woman who was attractive-- or not attractive. She might have an attractive quality-- nice ankles or something-- and the rest of her would be fairly unappealing to me.
But that was enough to basically just flood my mind with aggressive pornographic images, just one after another. It was like being in a pornographic movie house in my mind. And I couldn't turn it off. I could not turn it off. Everything I looked at, everything I touched turned to sex.
I was an editorial assistant. And I would be standing at the Xerox machine, and this big, shuddering, warm, inanimate object would just drive me crazy. It was very erotic to me.

I have struggled with low, to no testosterone for over 20 years. I have gone from just about zero to way too much in a few months. That is why I'm interested in the subject.

Guys who mistreat women do so largely because they have been socialized to do so. It starts from an early age and it is insidious and invisible, even down to the advertisements on tv or on the shows themselves.

It is never seeing women as people with agency, as merely seeing them as objects for them to use.

The answer is usually, Both.

You might want to read the whole ThisAmericanlife link I posted. Turns out women act different with the same levels of testosterone as men. As do men with the same level as women.

I'm saying being aware is needed to help understand and act with the things you have pointed out in mind.

In any case, you can NEVER discount socialization because it happens from the very beginning.

We are not our biology. That excuses any and all terrible behavior, along the lines of "he can't help it." Fuck that. He CAN help it, he just doesn't want to.

Many men are shit, really. They are raised to be so. They learn it from those around him. And not just their dads. Women are socialized to this crap too. They are expected to be "nice", to be peacemaker, in the face of any and all mistreatment. FUCK. THAT. SHIT.

Time to stop being "nice". Time to start getting real. Misbehavior should be called out (loudly) whenever and wherever.
