5. Well...a lot could happen

If Al can fully clear his name I don’t see why he couldn’t run for his seat again, or even higher if the cards fall right and fully exonerate him : and in that case I think he’d sweep in and kick ass.

People right now want to say he’s been denied due process and in the legal sense it hasn’t happened. If I were Franken and I knew this was bunk I would fight it in court as is an American right.

Let us not forget that there are ways this could turn out that no one has or could foresee.

Just as it’s also true that we don’t know if maybe a more credible revelation has come to light behind the scenes causing Dems to flee him. It could also be that in his resignation he will have a chance to focus and the story will fall apart.

There’s just so much we don’t know yet.
