Franken.
It is too much to bear and a chance the repukes could get a supermajority next year because of this.

(19,348 posts)as Ted Kennedy was to be on that plane (a last minute change of plans saved Teddy K.).

(115,734 posts)but it was quickly debunked. Kennedy was already on a commercial flight home when the accident happened, and in any even there wouldn't have been room for him in the small King-Air. And Wellstone wasn't murdered; he was the victim of plain old incompetence.

(34,661 posts)Questionable Pilot Skills. Read the Accident report,Executive Air filed a BK with in weeks of this.

(115,734 posts)Neither of those pilots should ever have been flying commercial charters. What happened was a basic stupid pilot mistake: They lost track of their inbound course and were so busy trying to see the runway in somewhat poor visibility that they didn't notice that the airplane had slowed too much, and it stalled and crashed. No sabotage, just incompetence.

The BK of this Company burned my Company for a couple Grand. We considered ourselves lucky. The Original owner Couple were so far over their F-----n heads,it was set up to fail from the get-go. Just a total Bull Crap Operation. They sure loved their Lifestyle.

(115,734 posts)I had a conversation with a lawyer for the charter company's insurer; he had been trying to figure out a way to stick the FAA for the liability (claimed the VOR signal was too inaccurate). The charter company did a crappy job of hiring and training people and making them follow procedures. http://news.minnesota.publicradio.org/features/2003/11/18_zdechlikm_ntsbreport/

(34,661 posts)was a distraction. New of the Pilots, used to see them handing in the Get Ready Room from time to time. The AP who filled in blanks later, said straight up,those two Guy's had limited skill levels when it came to Winter Weather Flying Skills.

(115,734 posts)because of the weather at the time. I was working at NWA then and we also wondered about ice - but that was quickly rejected as a reason. The pilots just effed up.

(34,661 posts)Talk about a Weather operation, after calling on the NWA offices, used to laugh at the local TV reports. Huh,you Guy's got to be kidding. When you see in real time what the Pilots are seeing in places like China and Japan.
